Farmers Joyce and Byron named their small family farm “Hukama,” which means “relationships” in the Shona language of their native Zimbabwe. For them, sharing food is a way to teach and learn from others about cooking, farming, and how to care for the land. As Bryon says, “When we feed others, we build relationships.”
