What is a Food Hub?
A food hub, as defined by the USDA, is a business or organization that aggregates, distributes, and markets local and regional food products to strengthen the ability of local producers to meet wholesale, retail, and institutional demand. Food hubs offer a bridge between regional food producers and consumers, providing a mutually beneficial relationship across both ends of the food system.
