Help feed our community

Our emergency response work is funded by United for San Diego. As food assistance programs around the country suffer from massive budget cuts, you can help keep your neighbors fed.

$40 feeds one person with fresh produce, pays the farmer a just wage, and sustains the health of our local food system.

Food security is public health

All of our food is grown on local, regenerative organic farms. Fresh produce is increasingly recognized as a way to treat certain medical conditions.

Amid the devastating cuts to public assistance, we are responding to the food security emergency by feeding our community. Through this pilot program with Rady Children’s Health, participants will receive free produce for 12 weeks.

After the program ends, the Food as Medicine movement continues. Our longterm goal is for San Diego to follow the model of other jurisdictions where doctors can prescribe fresh produce paid for by medical insurance. Your participation in this program gets us closer to this reality in which we can keep providing you food as medicine.
